Meet Don & Evelyn, they've spent the last 5 years travelling the Australian outback in a Kimberley Karavan offroad caravan. They've recently upgraded to a Kimberley Kruiser and are loving the extra space, comfort, quicker set-up time and 'lazy' roadside lunch stops! Oh, did I mention, they also travel with 4 dogs!
That's right, these seasoned travellers have been taking long trips with their 4 dogs in a Kimberley Karavan for the last 5 years. Now the Karavan is generous inside for a compact offroad caravan for 2 adults - but accommodating 2 adults and 4 dogs is much easier in a Kruiser. This couple love exploring remote Australia and have an aversion to staying in caravan parks. So when they started looking to upsize from the Karavan they needed a full-size offroad caravan that could go everywhere the Karavan had been and utilise the latest technology to maximise the length of time they could stay away. On their last 3-month Karavan trip they only spent 2 nights in a caravan park.
Having loved the performance of their Karavan and experiencing great Service support over the 5 years it would have been a big ask for this couple to leave the Kimberley stable. They did shop around briefly, but no other offroad caravan could compare to the advanced energy technology, unique features and overall design of the Kruiser. They also like to be a little bit different from the crowd - and the Kruiser sure is that!
Helping Don & Evelyn in their quest for self-sufficiency the Kruiser is equipped with the very latest in Kimberley 12V energy systems - the NEW Kimberley Hybrid Energy System. This combines 480Ah of Kimberley lightweight lithium batteries, 720W of roof-mounted superthin solar panels and an advanced 3000W Inverter/Charger. This electrical 'tour-de-force' means Evelyn can enjoy baking fresh bread or run a load of washing in the on-board washing machine or reheat a meal in the microwave in the middle of the Australian outback!
Water storage is also critical for extended remote camping. The Kruiser is equipped with a 120L of drinking water tank, 200L non-drinking water tank, 120L grey water tank for stays in sensitive National Parks and an innovative 60L reclaimed water tank system which allows you to re-use shower water through the toilet!
Don & Evelyn were sad to say goodbye to their Karavan but are really looking forward to spending the next 3 months travelling outback Australia in the new Kruiser. Keep an eye out for them on the road this season as they travel to Alice Springs via Outback Queensland, west on Gary Junction Road, across the Canning Stock Route, visiting Marble Bar, Broome, Gibb River Rd, Halls Creek, Tanami Track, Oodnadatta, Port Augusta then home to Bright, VIC.
